  • ADC Jet Water Pump

    Extraction water jet pump 
    The ADC model is designed to handle the extreme conditions of hydraulic coke systems and is part of the A-Line series of heavy-duty barrel pumps. It is constructed to cut solid coke out of the drum using a water jet.

    DRIFT LIMITS:
    • Capacity: up to 400 m³/h (1,761 gpm).
    • Lifting height: max. 3,600 m (11,811 ft) for flange class 2500.
    • Maximum pressure: up to 350 bar (5,076 psi).
    • Temperature: standard up to 65 °C (149 °F).

    • Heavy-duty barrel pump design in accordance with the latest edition of API 610 (BB5 type).

  • Coke Cutting Tool

    Hydraulic descaling systems 
    Ruhrpumpen's Coke Drilling/Cutting Tool is a patented design that offers significant operational and safety benefits for Delayed Coking processes in refineries.
    RP’s boring and cutting tool is designed for minimal torque and requires minimal lifting force due to its reduced cross-sectional area. The Manual Switching Tool has been available since 2001, while the automatic version (Auto-Switch) has been available since 2006.

    DRIFT LIMITS:
    DCU: Slim Tool with a diameter of 330 mm (13”).

  • Crosshead with Free Fall Arrestor

    Hydraulic descaling systems 
    Ruhrpumpen's standard crosshead design is an effective component in a cutting system for demanding tasks in refineries. Our proprietary designs for retrofitting fall arrestors reduce the safety risk associated with the crosshead's brakes and can usually be installed without interrupting the existing decoking operation.

    OVERVIEW
    RP's fall protection designs for retrofitting can be supplied as two alternative solutions:
    With existing shoe-type crossheads, modified to accommodate the fall arrest and associated activation connection.
    With new wheeled crossheads, which integrate the fall arrestor and activation connection. The crosshead can be modified for either existing rotary joints or the Ruhrpump drill pipe drive.

    IMPORTANT PROPERTIES
    Functional testing is performed on a routine basis.
    Full load testing on site can be performed by qualified Ruhrpumpen personnel.
    Separate safety cables, cable guides, and spring boxes have been eliminated.
    Cable grips have been eliminated.
    TÜV-approved (equivalent to UL/FM), documented in over 5,000 installations.

  • Drill Stem Drive

    Hydraulic descaling systems 
    The patented Ruhrpumpen Drill Stem Drive offers a new and robust design with efficient operational features for coke cutting systems. It can be installed without interrupting existing operations and adapted to existing crossheads without modifications to limit switches or mechanical stops.

    DRIFT LIMITS:
    Max. torque (DCU): 7,500 Nm (5,500 lb ft).
    Max. pressure: 420 bar (6,090 psi).

    PROPERTIES
    Can normally be installed without interrupting decoction operation.
    Fits within the existing swivel envelope.
    Can be adapted to existing crossheads without modification of limit switches or mechanical stops.
    Easily change the existing connection to the drill pipe from a unibolt coupling to a FlangeLok® or equivalent flanged connection.

    DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
    Max. torque: 7,500 Nm (5,500 lb ft).
    Max. lease load: 65,000 kg (143,000 lbs) at 15 rpm.
    Max. operating pressure: 420 bar (6,090 psi). [1]

    DESIGN FEATURES
    Reduced maintenance
    Oil reservoir at the main gearbox has been eliminated.
    Potential sources of pollution have been eliminated.
    Grease lubrication (replaces oil bath lubrication) at all important points.

    Enhanced maintenance features:
    A single long-life bearing (13-year B10 lifetime) instead of a three-bearing design as used in non-Ruhr pump designs.
    Fewer parts and fewer potential leakage paths compared to non-Ruhrpumpen designs.
    The main bearing/gearbox cartridge can be replaced directly at the installation site (in the field).
    Cartridges are designed for quick replacement.
    The cassette design reduces the number of parts and allows for quick repair of the unit on the cutting deck.
    This reduces the potential need for crane hire.

    Flexibility in drive
    Available with either an electrically, hydraulically, or pneumatically driven unit.
    Please note: Ruhrpumpen's service and repair centres can supervise or carry out the replacement of cartridges on cutting decks.

  • Heavy-Duty Hoist

    Hydraulic decoction system 
    Ruhrpumpen supplies specially designed hoists for decoking services. Our heavy-duty hoists can be supplied with electric, hydraulic and pneumatic drives in accordance with heavy industry standards and RP specifications. The tractive force and hoisting speed are defined based on the actual requirements to ensure trouble-free operation in combination with other components for Delayed Coking, such as the Coke Cutting Tool, Drill Stem Drive and Crosshead with Free Fall Arrestor.

    DRIFT LIMITS:
    Maximum pulling force for the DCU hoist: 48 kN (10,600 lb/f) on all layers.

    PROPERTIES
    • Traction force and traction speed are tailored to the specific installation site to ensure trouble-free operation in combination with other Ruhrpumpen components (cutting tools, drill pipe drive and crosshead with anti-drop device).
    • Variable speed drives (VSDs) for electric hoists are available.
    • Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) for hydraulic hoists are available.
    • 5/8″ or 3/4″ steel wire rope with a 24″ (diameter) snatch block system.
